Snowy Egret (Egretta thula)

Year 'round along the North Carolina coast, Snowy Egrets occasionally show up at inland locations in late summer.

Note the black bill, yellow between the eyes & bill, dark legs, and yellow "slippers" (feet). Wings are all white without dusky tips or black.
