Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus)

Tundra Swans are native and locally abundant along the North Carolina northern coastal plain at places such as Lake Mattamuskeet, Lake Phelps, and the nearby National Wildlife Refuges (Pungo, Alligator River, Pocosin Lakes, Pea Island, etc.).
