Brazilian Skipper
(Calpodes ethlius)
Generally fairly rare but seemingly increasing in NC, this species is usually found near
Canna
(its hostplant) and usually in the coastal plain, although a few records from the piedmont exist. It is a strong flier and can wander widely.
