Creole Pearly-eye (Enodia creola)

Uncommon to rare and local across NC, Creole Pearly-eyes have two broods, flying May-June and July-September. Distinguished from Southern Pearly-eye by having black & orange antennae and from Northern Pearly-eye by its "knuckled" median forewing line, note also that Creoles generally have 5 forewing spots, rather than 4.
