'Karner' Melissa Blue (Lycaeides melissa samuelis)

Not found in NC, this federally endangered subspecies of Melissa Blue occurs from New York to Minnesota. In Michigan, it can be locally common where found, but is quite habitat-specific and known only from a few counties in the lower peninsula.
