Black-bellied Salamander (Desmognathus quadramaculatus)

Found in mountain streams, springs, and seepages, Black-bellied Salamanders (often called Blackbelly Salamanders) occur in the southern Appalachians.
Black-bellied Salamander (Desmognathus quadramaculatus) When young, they lack the distinctive black belly patches.
