Carolina Mountain Dusky Salamander (Desmognathus carolinensis)

Recently split from Mountain Dusky Samalander (D. ochrophaeus), this is most like the Carolina Mountain Dusky Salamander because this individual was found in Buncombe Co., northeast of the French Broad River. (Thanks to Jeff Beane for ID help.)

Perhaps this is Mountain Dusky Salamander (D. ochrophaeus), as it is from SW of the French Broad River.
