Probably a Calosoma sp. Falls Lake, Durham Co., NC2 Sep 2007 These large beetles were very common in the new-growth short grass on the exposed mudflats around the lake. We probably saw a hundred of them or so in a few hours of walking around the flats on the Durham/Granville Co. line. |
