Our Mission Statement:
Duke Students for an Ethical Duke exists to achieve and protect a constructive and wholesome educational and extracurricular environment for ALL Duke students. We pledge to defend the dignity and the academic and legal rights of Duke students, both individually and collectively, whether threatened by other students, faculty, or administrators alike. Whenever hatred, racism, prejudice, slander, or plain administrative and academic incompetence manifest on Duke Campus, we are listening not as personal advocates but as advocates of principle, fairness, and equality.
Message from Exec:
We are Duke students who at this point recognize that the impetus towards real change in campus culture (including faculty culture) will only come from the students, not administrative panels. We encourage all who share our goals to contact us about becoming involved. We have a number of plans and events in the works, so contact us if you would like to know more. Duke has risen to unprecedented heights in the last 10-20 years mainly on the strength and caliber of the student body, and it comes as no surprise to any of us that leadership in the last year has come almost exclusively from the students. We are determined to restore the nation's respect for the Duke student body and to let the truth be known.
