I am a third-year graduate student in the History Department at Duke University, working with John French and Jocelyn Olcott. I study modern Latin America, specifically Argentina in the 1960s. I completed a minor field in colonial Latin America with Pete Sigal and an outside field in Gender and Feminist Theory with Tina Campt. My research explores the intersection between gender, technology, and consumption.
My dissertation is tentatively entitled "The Commercialization of Daily Life: Domestic Cultures and Technologies in Post-1960 Argentina." It will explore how urban Argentine identities changed as Argentina became a consumer society in the 1960s.
