Summary of Qualifications
I received my Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Shanmugha College of Engineering (now called the SASTRA University), Thanjavur, India in 2002. After my undergrad, I worked as Embedded systems engineer in Larsen and Toubro Pvt. Ltd in Mysore, India from 2002 - 2004. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Duke University under the guidance of Dr. Rebecca Willett. I am expected to graduate in 2011.

Research
Currently my research focus lies in developing theoretically and practically tractable image processing algorithms to address hyperspectral Poisson intensity estimation problems, which are often encountered in applications like astronomical imaging and remote sensing.

Teaching Experience
Served as a teaching assistant to my advisor in teaching a senior level undergraduate digital signal processing course in Fall 2007 and Fall 2008.
Honors and Awards
Got 20% tuition waiver in for three consecutive years in my undergrad for academic excellence.
