Introduction

Welcome to Kelly Lynn Mulvey's Online Portfolio. This portfolio chronicles my experiences as Masters of Arts in Teaching student at Duke University. From December of 2001 until May of 2003, I particpated in this program which included a year-long internship in the Durham Public High Schools, pedagogy courses and graduate-level courses in the English Department at Duke.

During the first semester, I was a student teacher at Southern High School under the guidence of Mrs. Mary Foster. During my second semester, I student taught at Northern High School under Mrs. Linda Moore. I had the opportunity to teach every level of student, standard, honors and AP and taught 9th, 11th and 12th graders.

This portfolio includes statements of my philosophy of teaching, reflections from a year-long journal I kept during my internship, samples of student work, sample lesson and unit plans, evaluations of my teaching, and copies of my transcripts, resume and Praxis score.
