Québec City
July 2005

a few pictures from our visit to la belle ville

Our apartment, rented from l'Hôtel Belley, was built right up to the 17th century walls of the old city. We even had cannon pointing above us.

We enjoyed a number of meals at sidewalk cafes, such as this place on Rue St-Paul, in lower town.

Amelia's favorite aspect of French cuisine was crepes (though she also showed a surprising fondness for that French Canadian specialty, poutine).

Montmorency Falls (just outside the city) are quite impressive -- especially as seen from the overhead footbridge. They're actually higher than Niagara.
