I am originally from New York City, but now I live in a suburb just an hour north. I am a sophomore this year and I plan on majoring in English and minoring in Computer Science and Spanish. During my free time I like to hang out with my friends, listen to music, or go to the gym...or anything else to help me procrastinate from doing my work.
I first started using a computer when I was very young, around first grade. I've used both PCs and Macs. I usually use my computer for typing up assignments, surfing the web, instant messaging, streaming videos, and listening to music. Basically, for general enjoyment. Although this is embarrassing to say, I first became interested in computer science when I had to look up HTML coding to spice up my MySpace page. If I had to guess, I would think that computer scientists write different types of programs, or try to figure out bugs in already existing programs. I have never had a good or a bad programming experience, nor have I ever had to do a programming project. I hope to use computers in the future for creating graphics, such as I did when I had an internship at an advertising company.
