During the second half of my internship, I had the opportunity to teach a unit in Calculus that I had already taught during the first half of my internship. Since I had already taught this unit, I was able to anticipate questions and difficulties that the students might have and assess the students more effectively on a daily basis. The following links will take you to different parts of my "mini" unit plan and then to samples of assessments and student work.

Section 4.1 Powerpoint
Section 4.2 Powerpoint
Section 4.3 Powerpoint
4.1 - 4.3 Jeopardy Powerpoint
This link will take you to the daily assessments and 4.1-4.3 test of student 1. This student had the most trouble with vocabulary. He seemed to understand how to do the math but his daily assessments showed that he was confused about which steps to complete based on the vocabulary of the directions. I tried to provide him with lots of feedback to help him understand what the directions were prompting him to do. He worked very hard and asked lots of questions and his improvement is reflected on the test.

This link will take you to the daily assessments and 4.1-4.3 test of student 2 . This student struggled on the daily assessments. She had difficulty unifying all the different concepts, but really showed lots of improvement on her test.
