Tabatha
Born: January 15, 1999
As soon as Rusty Spots was gone, Dakota knew that he was alone and started being more insistent on getting attention when I arrived home. I didn't want him to get too spooked and lonely, so I decided to get another cat. I started to visit the Animal Shelters. On February 27th, I spotted Tabatha. She had just came into the Durham Animal shelter an hour or so earlier. I had them put my application with her paperwork.
I took her home on March 12th.
I was surprised that Dakota immediately took on Rusty Spots' "role" as the senior cat. The main difference is that Dakota is much more tolerant of Tabatha. They regularly chase one another around and play fight in the evenings. They also will clean each other. This is what usually causes the chasing and play fighting.
