The College Football Controversy: BCS vs. Playoffs

Introduction

Hello, my name is McCain McMurray and I am a freshman at Duke University. Welcome to my website on the current controversy surrounding the NCAA College Football and the Bowl Championship Series. I have been a college football enthusiast ever since my grandparents took me to a Penn State game when I was only a small child. In the years that have passed since then, I have watched many great college football games, seen huge upsets, and been stuck to my seat by tight-locked overtime battles. During these same years, I have witnessed the arrival of the BCS and the ongoing debates that have come along with it. Although I have seen too many great bowl games to dislike the BCS, I am also a fan of NCAA basketball and I have often found myself wondering if a playoff system in college football would be capable of equaling the unparalelled intensity and excitement of march madness and the NCAA basketball tournament. I am in favor of neither the BCS or the proposed playoff system, rather, my goal for this website is to provide the most unbiased view possible of this controversy so that you can make an informed decision for yourself on the issue. I hope you find this site helpful for that purpose and if you have any questions or comments, you can email me here. Descriptions of the other pages on this site are posted below.
