OOLALA is OUT!!!!! Check out our Programmer's Manual for OOLALA and User's Manual for OOLALA
new project
Amrith and I have partnered up to create a cool, quick program called Kwic xtended. Check it out
My name is Michael Lin. I am from
I first started using computers in elementary school.
I have used PCs regularly. I once touched a Macintosh. Unix
systems too.
I use a computer on a daily basis for school. Email, signing up for classes, the
works.
I became interested in studying computer science because I wanted to unravel
the mysteries of such a powerful tool.
I think computer scientists write programs or think up algorithms on a daily
basis.
My worst programming experience was in CPS 104, when I had to program with MIPS
assembly language.
It was bad because assembly language is a pain.
My favorite programming project was huffman coding,
because it was cool. However, it did take a long time
I see myself using computers for playing games, typing things, writing
programs, and flying airplanes in the future.
I have no nickname. I like driving. I am a sophomore. Outside of computer
science, I am also taking economics, math, and Chinese.
It was unclear to me what the Component, Responsibilities, and Collaborators were exactly. That created some confusion in the beginning. We assumed that moving the elevator itself did not require several processes (like turning on the power, or switching gears or something). We also assumed that elevators did not have emergency alarms, or maximum weight limits, and stuff. My group experience was pretty productive, I think. However, we had a little trouble finishing on time. I was sort of lost most of the time, because I wasn't too sure we were supposed to do. So, I could have done a better job figuring out what to do. A leader emerged in our group. Christina was really active in the beginning. And throughout the whole thing. So, she kind of assumed the leader position.
