I'm not comparing myself to Frank Lloyd Wright, but Fallingwater did come to mind as a good visual model for what I've tried to do in discussing writing lives. Some comments about the famous house's structure made at the Fallingwater Web site seem apropos too: "Cantilevering can give shelter without interrupting the space which people see or traverse. Cantilevers define without obstructing - a new liberty for architecture."
