I am a developmental psychologist
who studies parenting and family socialization as it impacts school
achievement and children's mental health. I am broadly interested
in how contexts, including cultural, economic, and community, impact
and shape families and children. I teach courses on early childhood
socialization; culture and family processes, and the influences of
ethnicity and context on development.
