Fundraiser Information

Our 5th annual Hike for Hillandale took place on Friday, October 7, 2011, and it was a gorgeous day for it! All of the students, teachers, and parents who participated had a fabulous time! With Wool E. Bull cheering everyone on, the children had a lot of fun hiking through the woods, following the spray painted squiggly arrows around the ball field and running through the new obstacle course that was set up right before the finish line. A great big thank you to Mr. Doug Shank for sharing his time and obstacle course equipment with us! It was truly wonderful to see the children's excitement and smiles! And we are so fortunate at Hillandale to have such an amazing resource as the nature trail right in our own backyard.

We applaud each and every student who hiked and worked to raise donations for our fundraiser, no matter what the amount! With a 27% participation rate, we have raised just over $8500 for our school.

The purpose of our Hike is not only to raise funds for the school but also to promote active lifestyles and healthy living in our families! While the school's nature trail is used for this event as well as throughout the year to supplement classroom learning, it is also open to families to come and enjoy any time! Consider bringing your family out some weekend to experience this incredible place!
