sorry to say, but as of may 2007, the pulsar triyo won't be performing together anymore. i decided to attend medical school down in florida while eric took a position at downbeat magazine. though adam will be around town, it is unlikely that the three of us will be together in the NC triangle area again for a while.
it was a really fun and memorable four years. thanks to zach kilgore for starting on bass with us in addition to the countless other people who helped us create these wonderful memories that we will carry on forever. Josh Stohl, Rob DiMauro, Ben Shelton, Lingh Le, Egan O'rourke, the Benenson award, Osceola Records, Scott Lindroth, Natalie Bookstaver are just a few of many who comprise a long list of other musicians, booking agents, recording engineers, teachers, friends, and family that helped us become what we became.

2007.july 25 - ok, yes we are dead...BUT, there are still a few last updates that may interest you. we were featured on npr's open mic section of its popular program, "all songs considered." you can read their blurb on us and even hear me discussing our band at this webpage. duke university media has also informed us that they are now using clips from one of our original, "orange & brown" off of Wait No More. They tell me that it'll be used on all news media released by Duke University, so you better learn to like that song. you can check out one example over here.
2006.december 8 - well, our last 2006 gig at the pour house (pics) was awesome! happy holidays and we can't wait to see you in 2007.
2006.november 6 - hey! thanks to everyone who came to our cd release. it was great! if you missed it, you can purchase it online, through us, at our gigs, or the duke store (in the bryan center).
2006.october 13 - our first professionally recorded album Wait No More is slated for release on fri. oct. 13th. come celebrate with us at the mary lou williams center for black culture at 9:30! flyer.
2006.august 9th - in addition to planning for our cd release, we've just updated our clips section with a free preview of our upcoming album, Wait No More. please download!
2006.june 11th - clips section updated with a video clip from our duke lunar new year performance. recording album almost complete! starting to gig a bit this summer. looks like a fun summer ahead of us.
2006.april 9th - we won the duke/unc battle of the bands again! thank you for all of you who came out. it was great getting to play with sweater weather, heads down thumbs up, running lights, busy world, and alexander street! we have a few more gigs (finally) so please do check'em out.
2006.april 9th - as the spring semester winds down, we must announce that zachary kilgore, our graduating senior, will not be officially playing with us anymore. we would like to thank him for more than a years worth of great music making. fortunately, adam lord, our bassist from last summer, will be returning to the triyo as our new bassist.
2006.march 8th - the pulsar triyo has been selected as one of the three duke bands to compete in this year's duke vs. unc battle of the bands! the event will be on april 8th so check out our gigs page for more info.
