Adam Lord is pleased to be the old man of the group and enjoys the challenge of trying to keep up with young whippersnappers Pulsar and Eric. Adam began playing bass around age fourteen. He has been fortunate enough to play with a diverse array of musicians and groups and in a wide variety of styles. In his hometown of Asheville, NC, he spent his teen years playing southern and classic rock, alt-country, and experimental jam-based fusion. At the same time, he studied jazz and improvisation, accompanied choral groups, joined the Asheville Youth Symphony for Pops shows, and worked summers in community theaters. At Duke, Adam continued his pit orchestra work with Hoof 'n' Horn, and met Eric while subbing in the pit of West Side Story. In college, Adam played with several campus bands, including Mojo Train, Dave Widders, and The Alan Davis Band. Today he continues to play with ADB, and records and gigs with Johnny Marnell (www.johnnymarnell.com).
