Zachary
Kilgore began studying the bass guitar when he was 15 so that he
would be able to participate
in his high school's annual Battle of the Bands with 3 of his friends. What
Zachary
didn't know was how the bass would take
a hold of his life in ways that he hadn’t dreamed. Entirely self taught,
Zachary was a part of numerous high school bands, yet it wasn't until he arrived
to Duke in the fall of 2002 that he found musicians to whom he could finally
relate. Zachary’s music cannot be defined by any style or genre of music,
as evidenced by his participation in the acoustic rock group Paul Parker’s
Backyard Brew, or the blues jam influenced Reading for Pleasure.
Zachary is double majoring at Duke University in the concentrations of
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, while minoring in Music. He
is thrilled to
have the opportunity to work with the talented members of The Pulsar Triyo.
