My research focuses on understanding the cognitive and neural basis of age-related differences during memory formation and retrieval of emotionally meaningful stimuli. In particular, I am interested in the effects of emotion and aging on autobiographical memory, which refers to memory for events from our own life. In addition to behavioral indices, I investigate the neural correlates of autobiographical memory and retrieval processes by using neuroimaging techniques such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
