Updated March 20, 2008: So, Duke did something weird with its computer science servers, where my website lives, so I've created this one as a temporary replacement until I figure out what's going on (read: email important people and pray they didn't delete all my stuff). I put this together pretty quickly, so please excuse the boring design. ...Or marvel at its brilliant simplicity. Your choice.
I graduated from Duke University in May 2008 and am originally from Greensboro, NC. My major was history, and I also received a minor in political science and a certificate in information science (like a mixture of computer science and communications with a bunch of other stuff thrown in). I am pursuing a career in online and multimedia production in the journalism world.
I currently work at CNN as an associate producer for CNN.com and iReport.com, and I live in Atlanta. While at Duke, I was an online editor at The Chronicle, Duke's award-winning, student-run daily newspaper. I also did a number of other things to prevent myself from getting an adequate amount of sleep: played in the Duke Symphony, worked as a concert manager for the music department, performed with an on-campus dance group, helped produce The Movie-Making Marathon, and gave tours to prospective Duke students and their families.
Feel free to take a look around and explore the website. And please email me with any questions or comments, or if you'd like more information on anything.
