Global warming was first predicted in 1896 by Svante Arrhenius, who foresaw C02 induced global warming. It has been proven that the global average of near-surface atmospheric temperature rose .18 Celsius in the past century. Furthermore, models generated in our era, such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, predict that global temperatures are likely to increase about 1.1 to 6.4 degrees Celsius between 1990 and 2100, depending on the future greenhouse gas emissions.
This site is thus designed to inform the reader of the dangers associated with Global Warming and to provide possible solutions to this problem. It was designed by Connor Allen, Ruffin Scarborough, and Chawkat Nammour and if you have any questions email prs6@duke.edu.
