About Me

Hi! So you want to know more about me? I find that a bit odd since I'm not famous or anything, but since you're reading this, I'll give you the low down on me anyway. :-)

Fianceé

My fianceé's name is Sonja. She graduated this past spring from UNC and now works at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Neuroscience Center. We live near Southpoint Mall in a cool (but small) apartment. :-) Sonja's website is here.

My Job

I'm 29 years old and I work at Duke University in the Systems and Core Services division of OIT (Office of Information Technology). My official title is "IT Analyst" which is pretty generic, but it sounds cool...people think I'm all smart when I say "I'm an IT Analyst." haha.

Oh so anyway, my primary job is working with Active Directory. Unless you're in IT, that means nothing to you but you can see the website I've been working on, titled "Active Directory at Duke University."

Hobbies

My primary hobby is racing BMX bicycles. Yeah, thats the kind that you hafta pedal. No motor at all. Single speed 20" (sometimes 24") bikes that I race around a dirt track with big jumps and berms. My best accomplishment in the sport was winning the 2003 Redline Cup Championship in my class, which means I get to run a #1 number plate for the next year. Go me. :-)

Basically I like anything outdoors. I'm a really good snow skier...I lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a year and I skied all the time (also worked at a computer store while I was there). I didn't want to leave there, but its a resort community and the cost of living was outrageous. Snow skiing on the east coast just doesn't compare. :-(
