BMX Racing

I started racing BMX bikes in 1985. My mom pointed out an article in the local newspaper that a BMX track was being built in Burlington, NC. I loved to ride my Kmart-style Huffy and jump it off a homemade 4" high wooden jump in the yard so the chance to go over even bigger dirt jumps sounded awesome!

I have raced several bikes over the years. Brands include Schwinn, Elf, Titan, GT, and Free Agent.

I stopped racing around 1992 but decided to get back into the sport around 1998/1999. I was amazed how much had changed. Tracks were built different and everybody trained MUCH harder, but it was still fun!
