What if the issue is not resolved? What if the controversy continues without any sign of being resloved? Is this such a bad thing? What if Duke University and The Unversity of North Carolina at Chapel could resolve the differences and work to achieve better things both in the community and in the classroom through mutual efforts for a common benefit. Only the future contains the answers to these questions. The Duke/UNC rivalry is intense, entertaining and captivating, but the excess hostility and animosity between the fans of each team is constraining. Imagine what we could accomplish if they could put aside their biases and assumptions and the animosity that is preventing cooperative realtions.

 

 

 

However, if we are not able to resolve the controversy, we will continue to enjoy the intense athletic competition on the court, the hilarious antics of the Cameron Crazies, and the continued excess hostilty to both UNC and Duke fans.
