The Frog

frogs are cool

We decided to write about the frog for several reasons. The first reason is that Josh orignally wanted to do either the pitbull or the frog. Marie is not a fan of pitbulls, but she does like frogs. Therefore, the frog was a necessary compromise. Also, frogs are slimy and neat. The frog is also one of the most under-appreciated animals in the wild.People take for granted the fact that frogs eat flies and like to stick to windows. Because of this, people like Marie who live in Florida get slime spots on their windows. Frogs also eat nasty insects, creatures which are viles and we don't want to see. For this reason, like janitors, frogs are under- appreciated.

Frogs generally eat insects, but they specifically enjoy consuming crickets and flies. Frogs are amphibious so they live both on land and in the water. Baby frogs are called tadpoles and they can only survive in the water until they grow legs like big frogs. Baby frogs have a low chance of survival, so female frogs lay many eggs so that the tadpoles that don't get eaten can grow up to be big frogs which will then propogate the species' population. Frogs have long, sticky tongues to catch their unsuspecting prey. Their tongues are so fast that they can catch an insect like a dragonfly while it is flies past the frog in the air!
