People for a universal health care believe...
With a universal health care plan, national resources could be used to improve care. Laws would regulate the quality and price of care. Money would be put into research, new treatments, and renovation. Programs could be put into affect nationally, in order to educate the public and professionals. The benefit of having all this done on a national scale is that it can step back, look at the trend in the medical field as a whole, and fix it with some authority. With separate companies, no one wants to take responsibility and thus certain issues fall through the gaps. Money falls into the hands of middlemen instead of physicians for the treatment of patients. If everyone were covered by a national insurance, the government would be responsible for making sure things get done properly. A national health plan would take away the desire to earn profit, ideally lowering costs and eliminating corruption and greediness.
