"The health of the Nation's people is the foundation of our Nation's strength, productivity, and wealth." *H.R.16, findings and declaration of purpose, sec2a(1) |
... but how do we ensure that our Nation's people are healthy? What is the true definition of health?
Perhaps you do not care about the Nation itself. But what about you? Do you want to be healthy? What would you sacrifice in order to be healthy? What would you sacrifice for the health of others?
(And perhaps you are also a health practitioner seeking a way to do your job more effectively, whatever that may mean to you. What, by your definition, is most beneficial?)
There has long been a controversy over how to keep the Nation's people healthy. People generally turn to health care professionals and technology for the answer. But everything has its price.
Health insurance began...
Currently, there are a myriad of standpoints within a wide spectrum of possibilities pertaining to this issue:
Many people feel that it is simply not feasible to provide perfect health care to everyone. They believe that one must choose (or find a balance) between access and quality of health care. Thus, there are . . .
People who are ardently for a universal health plan...
People who are fervently against a universal health plan...
People who have opinions somewhere between the two extremes...
But why are people arguing over a new policy? Why change at all?
Why not maintain the Status quo?
How can we agree?
