welcome. I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Mohamed Noor at Duke University. We are investigating the association of fine-scale recombination rate with diversity and divergence measures using next-gen sequencing in Drosophila.
For my PhD at Iowa State University, I worked with Fred Janzen to estimate the heritability of traits important for the microevolution of temperature dependent sex determination in the painted turtle, Chrysemys picta. This line of work was motivated by theory by Bulmer and Bull in the early 1980s.
As side projects, I have investigated selection, heritability, and mating systems in natural populations. I have also undertaken studies of conservation and population genetics on turtles in Cuatro Cienegas, Mexico, and conducted a phylogeography of a wide-spread aquatic turtle.
Please check my CV for a current list of publications.
