Colonial America -- prose and poetry

Chances are that if you have any questions about colonial American literature on your test, you will only have one or two. This is a more or less exhaustive list of the titles and themes that could appear from this period/place. Don't spend all that much time on this section.

Included in this section are the following figures. The two most likely to appear on your test are Phillis Wheatley and Anne Bradstreet. The four men presented here are all grouped together in this study guide as Colonial Male Preachers.
