Physical Training InformationTimes / LocationsRECOMMENDED OPTIONAL PT is held every morning at 0700. Mondays meets at Wallace Wade, Wednesday and Friday at the turf fields. See Training Calendar for what to bring and for any changes. There are required Wednesday morning ruck marches for MS IIIs, but all cadets are invited. Any required PTs will be either ruck marches, battalion runs, or APFTs.
APFTAll APFTs will be held at the NCCU track at 0615.
StandardsThe following table lists the minimum and maximum scores for the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT). Achieving the minimum scores listed above will earn cadets a score of 60 in all three events (180 overall). Achieving the maximum scores listed above will earn cadets a score of 100 in all three events (300 overall) Push ups and sit ups test how many of those excercises a cadet can complete correctly in 2 minutes, while the 2 mile run tests how fast a cadet can run 2 miles (duh). DirectionsFrom NCCU to Duke East Campus: PT is held on the turf fields that are paralell to Broad Street. Your best bet is to park in the Fresh Field's shopping center at the intersection of Broad and Perry St. For detailed driving directions click here:
From NCCU to Duke West Campus PT is held on the turf fields behind the soccer stadium. Once on Science Drive, take your first right and park in the parking lot. The turf fields are to your left as you are pulling into the parking lot. For detailed driving directions click here:
From Duke to NCCU PT is held in front of the Gymnasium. Turn right at the intersection of Alston and Cecil Street (At the traffic light with Burger King on your left). Take your first right and park in the gravel lot. The Gym is the large building at about 2 o' clock For detailed driving directions click here:
