The hyphen between my middle initials is intentional; my siblings and I each have hyphenated middle names.

I was born and raised in urban Idaho but
my heart belongs to Seattle.

I have a strong allegiance to the Northwest
and independent coffee shops.

I worked prior to entering graduate school:
- in a Seattle non-profit dedicated to eradicating poverty in Central America through microcredit enterprises,
Global Partnerships.

- as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service to America) with North Carolina Campus Compact on projects pertaining to civic engagement and service learning.
