Teaching
Teaching is one of the most rewarding aspects of academic life, but doing it well requires a lot of thoughtful preparation. It is hard work.
As a graduate student at Duke I've taught in a variety of classroom settings. These have included TAing for a writing intensive political theory course, grading for a 250 person Constitutional Law course, TAing a graduate seminar in the Public Policy School, and teaching my own undergraduate upper level seminar.
Duke has a number of teaching resources that I have found useful, including a course I took on "Instructional Uses of Technology."
You can learn more about my own understanding of teaching in my teaching statement.
Also, a list of courses I have taught, or would like to teach, can be found here; and my teaching evaluations are here.
