Prior to taking this course, my only exposure to the world of computer programming was a two-week course on Visual Basic I took in the sixth grade. So, really, I have no experience. I know how to use computers, but have very little idea how the programs they run work. After Duke, I plan on going to law school and pursuing a career in the legal field or in government, where undoubtedly I will have to use computers for basic functional tasks like email, word processing and excel.
