CompSci 6 : Spring 2009

Yi Zhu

Made in China

How I started in Computer Science:

I started using computers at the age of 8, my father had a degree in Computer Science, and I had access to a really crappy computer that my mother brought home from work.

I’ve used Pentium II-IV, and various really crappy computers. Never really had a good one, but the ones I had gets the jobs done.

Everyday I use computers for gaming, checking emails, photoshop, vegas pro for video editing and that’s about it.

I’ve had my hands on computers since I was a little kid and I used C to program robots for my robotics team in high school, it’s just a hobby of mine.

Program Program and Program. And mostly likely play video games, at least I hope so.

I’m most interesting in writing animations and games, I’ve taken compsi 03 with Focus my freshman year, and that was an excellent class taught by the famous actor Robert Duvall(jk).

I believe computer science is the way of the future and can be incorporated into any career, hence one of the most useful fields to master.

As for the article, I don’t think computers would truly fade from society while the science of computers continues to exist. But I did learn few interesting things from reading that article about the way computer science affects daily lives.

My hobbies:

DOTA

Hanging out with friends doing the most spontanious things.

And of course everyone’s favorite passtime: Tree hugging!

I’m currently a Sophomore .
