I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana.
My first introduction to computing was aged seven years, through a video game entitled The Treehouse. As a child I additionally spent enormous amounts of time using KidPix, MicroWorlds, Lego Mindstorms, HTML, and Turbo Pascal. IÕve used computers with every iteration of Pentium processors, various pre-PowerPC Macintoshes, Microsoft DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, ME, XP, and OS 6, 7, 8, 9, 9.2. I switched to the Macintosh platform in 2003, since then I've had a PowerBook G4 12", a PB G4 15", a 20" C2D iMac, and a Macbook Air. Day to day I use computers for communications with colleagues, friends and family. The majority of my time spent on computers is passed browsing various news sources via the internet and experimenting in PHP based web projects. I became interested in studying computer science when I came up with an idea for a software implementation and realized I had no knowledge of how to code it. I think a computer scientist spends most of his time procrastinating on the web. My best programming experience has been through an on going project to organize my email and RSS feeds across several devices because I get to realize the benefits of success in all the time I save everyday. My least favorite programming project was Pixmap in CPS 100E because the professor failed to make her expectations clear. I see myself using computers in the future much the same way I do today, except I hope I will be generating revenue from coding projects, either as an employee or entrepreneur.
